Orchestra botanica

Orchestra Botanica is a durational installation set in a botanical garden. It is an orchestra composed of living plants and flowers. A mixture of slow movers and fast bloomers trigger sounds through their bio-rhythmical movements. These triggers create beautiful, layered, and unique musical scores new to every solar day.

Abigail was selected in the Artangel's panelist's top 100 proposals, with Orchestra Botanica, in 2013 and 2014.
 

'Open' was launched across the UK in January 2013. A call for artists working in any media; it offered an open invitation to share proposals for ground-breaking projects over different sites across the UK with Artangel and BBC Radio 4 .'
