home sweet home

Since 2007, Subject to_change have toured their show home sweet home to national and international acclaim including; The Cultch, Vancouver (2011), SPILL festival, UK (2012), Perth International Arts Festival, Australia (2012), Kyoto Experiment, Kyoto (2013), Theaterfestival Basel (2014), Berliner Festspiele (2016) The Southbank Centre, London (2016) and Macau Arts Festival (2018). 

home sweet home is an interactive installation, in which every audience member has the opportunity to build themselves a house and become part of a small, but perfectly formed cardboard community.

The development boasts a number of services to help residents settle in – a notice board, a postal service, a councillor and a local radio station Residents FM.

At the end of the event a street party is held where residents can celebrate with each other and take their newly formed homes, home.
